If the Dell website does not have a specific driver for your model (common for older Dell machines running Windows 10), you can download the generic Intel Chipset driver directly from Intel.

A: By default, most browsers save downloaded files to the "Downloads" folder, which is typically located in your user profile ( C:\Users\<Your Username>\Downloads ). Use your browser's download history to locate the specific file.

If you prefer an automated solution, Dell’s tool can detect and install missing drivers for you.

The most direct solution is to install the correct chipset driver from Dell. The SM Bus Controller driver is almost always included in the “Intel Chipset Device Software” or “AMD Chipset Driver” package.
